MD Lab // Cheil Germany is recruiting a senior media designer (freelancer/contractor) to join its team in Schwalbach am Taunus.
MDLab // Cheil Germany is a design agency focussed on branded spaces and we are located in Schwalbach am Taunus, close to Frankfurt a. M., Germany. Our team is consisting of around 20 international creative individuals and we are looking for a senior designer/generative design to support our work in the area of trade show, exhibition and retail.
The inspiration for our work comes from Art, Technology and Design Trends. We are thinking across disciplines and our aim is to always create ideas for our clients that go beyond the ordinary. Our focus is on user experience and we are working increasingly data driven.
For our main client Samsung we are busy on a range of very exciting projects around the world.
We are looking for a creative mind that is very skilled with creating 3D design in general and has a strong interest in interaction and generative design and using data as a design tool.
Our new colleague should be at ease with developing motion graphics, but also capable in the field of spacial design.
Qualification and skills required:
– a degree in media, design, interaction design, architecture, interior design, IT, scenography
– excellent skills in Rhino, Vray and Grasshopper is a must have, additionally there should be a great expertise in some of the following: Cinema 4D + Houdini, VVVV, Processing, Open Framework
– movie editing skills required
– 3D real-time skills a bonus
– skills in communicating design ideas (storyboards, interaction diagrams, collages, presentations)
– capable of developing formats to inform the team about the latest methods
– fluent English language skills (we are an international team and we are working with international clients), German language skills are a bonus
The candidate we are looking for is:
– interested in new methods of design
– at ease with creating conceptual ideas
– experienced (min three years) with creating strong generative design concepts
– ideally familiar with working for large brands and with the environment of a design agency
– self-motivated and willing to drive experimentation
– flexible and willing to travel
– able to handle tight deadlines
– outgoing and sharing
– interested in multiple design disciplines like architecture, graphic design, media art, scenography
