Design producer

Gainsbury and Whiting is seeking a design producer to join its team in London.
Duration: six month contract starting ASAP
Gainsbury and Whiting is a bespoke creative agency and fashion production company working primarily with fashion and technology brands.
The design producer will work alongside the design team and senior design producer to provide overall project management for special events within the luxury sector.
With an experienced background in high-end brand experiences the producer will provide support to the design team during the concept phase and throughout project execution working diligently with all vendors and technical departments towards the realisation of high impact, innovative events.
Acting as the liaison between the design team and client teams this person will ensure a smooth project delivery from initial design reviews through to event execution.
The design producer will work cross-functionally with all involved project teams and will have a keen focus on tracking design changes to correctly communicate to involved project departments and ensure design intention remains upon delivery.
Your career background should have extensive experience of working closely with both client teams and industry creatives such as artists, directors, production designers, set designers, lighting and music directors.
If and when required design producer should be able to accurately and confidently communicate creative ideas to suppliers on behalf of the design team.
The design producer should:
- feel confident in reviewing floor plans and 2D and 3D construction drawings
- be experienced in speaking directly with suppliers and fabricators for build heavy projects
- be comfortable supporting on multiple projects, often across multiple time-zones
- have meticulous attention to detail
Responsibilities include:
- communicate regularly with head of design to prioritise design team workload across multiple live productions at any one time
- ongoing scheduling and running of internal meetings to communicate client delivery requests
- set and maintain all assigned project timelines and key milestones
- joining all project calls across any production department as required
- take call notes and circulate as required
- ensure timely handoff for design specifications to engineering and/or fabricators
- review project plans to ensure master files remain up to date
- attend pre-production site visits with third party suppliers, client and extended project teams
- ensure accurate installation during on-site install
- live project reporting to office-based and/or internationally located team
Personal profile:
- excellent written and verbal communication
- highly computer literate including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe
- experience in using technology for meetings, video conference, webex, teams, zoom etc.
- discretion in handling confidential visuals and materials
