Boon Brown Architects is seeking a technical architect/architectural technologist to join its team in London.

Boon Brown Architects is an established multi-disciplinary design practice encompassing architecture, landscape architecture, town planning and sustainability from offices in London and Yeovil, Somerset. Working across a broad range of development sectors, BoonBrown offers a comprehensive and collaborative design service to help deliver our client’s needs from concept to construction.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified technical architect/architectural technologist to join our RIBA chartered practice in our London office on a permanent basis. As part of this role, you will get a chance to work on a variety of projects types and scales within our entire portfolio of sectors.

Responsibilities of this role will include:

  • the creation and development of design proposals and planning applications through to technical specifications, tender packages, and detailed construction drawings
  • responsibility for projects across all work stages, however with a focus on RIBA work stages 3-5
  • actively engage with clients, consultants, contractors and other construction professionals
  • ensure the high-quality delivery of written and drawn information
  • carry out designer CDM responsibilities
  • attend and help with site appraisals, surveys, client meetings and site inspections
  • being part of a cohesive team, involved with mentoring and supporting our colleagues, to grow and learn together

Our ideal candidate will:

  • be highly motivated, organised with excellent communication skills
  • be either a RIBA chartered Architect or CIAT registered
  • have a strong construction knowledge and a mindset to develop this skill base
  • have current working knowledge of sustainable, low carbon building technologies
  • have at least five years’ UK office based, post qualification experience
  • be skilled in the use of AutoCAD. Experience with Revit in addition will be advantageous
