Gainsbury & Whiting is seeking a design researcher and visuals coordinator to join its team in London.
Gainsbury & Whiting is a bespoke creative agency and fashion production company working primarily with fashion and technology brands.
The design researcher and visuals coordinator will be skilled in researching all elements of design and will play a key role in the concept stages of all project development within a busy design studio. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in the arts and all creative medium with a strong eye for imagery and a photographic memory. A good working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is a must, experience of short format video-editing is also an advantage. An organisational approach to content management is also required for the management of the studio wide ongoing image archiving, both file and drive management. Working closely with the head of design you will manage extensive and thorough research in all manner of topics, support the production of all studio creative decks paying particular attention to tracking image changes across revisions.
The design researcher and visuals coordinator should:
- feel confident in sourcing and selecting imagery
- be able to respond quickly to image requests to a provided brief
- have a good knowledge of contemporary artists practicing globally
- boast an excellent command of Photoshop and InDesign
Responsibilities include:
- effectively interpreting and communicating a creative brief through visual materials
- management of ongoing visuals archive and drives
- supporting the head of design with all client decks and presentations
- provide on-going support within a busy design team
Personal profile:
- highly computer literate including; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop
- experience in using technology for meetings; Video conference, Webex, teams, zoom etc.
- passion for the arts
