Me Architects is seeking a leading design architect to join its close-knit team in Malta.
Me Architects is an architectural office founded by Perit Karl Ebejer in 2013, specialising in design and planning of residential and retail developments. We work across multiple sectors on a variety of exciting projects.
Our practice is encouraging creativity and innovation and work in a very friendly and vibrant environment.
We are looking for an ambitious talented design architect who is confident to lead a design team and undertake projects from concept through completion. You will be expected to demonstrate analytical, conceptual thinking in relation to all project aspects, excellent attention to detail and communication skills. You will play a pivotal role in leading the team and ensuring successful design development whilst embracing innovation.
Requirements:
- minimum of five years’ experience in an architectural office or design practice with residential background and post qualification.
- fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong communication skills
- CAD drawing (ideally ArchiCAD)
- 3D visualisation (ideally SketchUp)
- Adobe Indesign and Photoshop
The ideal candidate should:
- be confident, organised and proactive
- have strong communication and design presentation skills
- have technical site experience working and coordinating with contractors and delivery of projects on-site including contract administration
- have knowledge and experience of suppliers, products and materials
- qork effectively by meeting deadlines
Duties and responsibilities:
- lead the design team
- provide creative direction and inspire the team to design aspirational projects that are both innovative and creative in their resolution
- support the director with business development, ensuring both the nurturing of existing clients and seeking out new potential sources of work ensure projects are delivered within the required timeframe, fee parameters and reporting
