Role overview
Berkeley Ventures is seeking a creative and passionate artworker/graphic designer to join its team. The role will cover a broad range of the business, but will have a heavy focus on production of external facing promotional material to assist projects as they proceed through land acquisition and planning permission stages. Alongside this the role will also cover marketing and communications materials to assist in creating promotional branding and marketing material for a range of projects and events. The role is varied and will work across a broad range of different projects at any one time, presenting ideas to the team and helping to generate concepts that meet the brand’s aspirations. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual artworker/graphic designer to start or return to the property industry working at one of the country’s top property developers.
Responsibilities:
- helping to ensure high quality graphic designs across the company
- creating promotional branding and marketing material for a variety of projects and events on both print and digital format
- ability to design marketing material that communicates graphically including promotional material such as invitations, brochures and individual project logos etc.
- implementing the Berkeley Group brand identity and guidelines across all external communication and in-house materials, as well as devising new creative ideas
- work closely alongside other departments within the company (design, commercial etc.) to ensure that proposals meet all necessary requirements of the company
- work closely with external consultants including marketing, branding and printing
Personal specification
Alongside the general core competences listed above, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:
- experience in identity and branding
- a creative approach to design and problem solving
- have all the core design skills, including layout, composition, colour theory and typography
- knowledge and experience in stock images and fabrication techniques including printing
- attention to detail. The ability to produce consistent, thorough and reliable work
- ability to work flexibly as part of an iterative design process taking on board views and opinions of different members of the team
- self-driven, creative and able to show initiative
- well-presented and business like
- strong communication skills. Willingness to voice your own point of view and constructively add to debate. The ability to clearly advocate your thoughts on design matters
- a strong commercial orientated understanding of good design
- experience within planning and/or international sales markets would be ideal, but not necessary
Technical abilities
Graphic design and presentation skills are essential. Candidates should be competent using:
- Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
MS Office.
Remuneration
A salary range of £25,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience.
