RJDA is looking for a project architect to join its team in Grand Cayman, Canary Islands.
RJDA is a small boutique architecture practice based in the Cayman Islands which offers full architecture, design and construction administration services. Our primary focus is to define and create progressive architecture in the Caribbean, producing buildings and spaces that simultaneously look good and function well. RJDA is seeking applicants for the position of project architect.
Job description
The project architect will be required to manage commercial and/or residential projects and work alongside other architects in a Cayman-based architecture firm.
Duties will include:
- schematic and detailed design drawing
- construction drawing and specification writing
- consultant coordination
- construction administration
- liaising with contractors, consultants and clients
- creating solutions to technical problems
- preparing sketches, designs or renderings
Job qualifications:
In addition to the following qualifications, this position requires that the applicant possess sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work in a confidential environment.
- licensed architect with eight plus years architectural experience
- construction drawing and construction documents experience
- construction administration experience
- experience with consultant coordination
- an accredited bachelor of architecture degree
- excellent graphic and architectural design skills
- strong verbal and communication skills
- proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop
- proficiency in Rhino
Salary
Compensation will be set relative to level of experience.
