John McAslan + Partners is hiring a senior architect to join its studio in Edinburgh.

John McAslan + Partners, an international design-led studio with a wide and interesting portfolio of projects across multiple sectors including public realm, education, culture and transportation, are currently looking for a new member to join our team in Edinburgh.

This exciting role is integral to the success of delivering a major international project. Not only will you be working in collaboration with our London team, but an international, multi- disciplinary design team. Accordingly, the position would best suit a qualified architect with proven experience of managing major international projects.

The ideal candidate will be architecturally qualified with experience in a project coordination role, ideally running complex projects and coordinating multi-disciplinary consultant information. They will have strong technical and organisational skills, and a logical and systematic approach to information management.

The key aspects of the role involve and require:

  • managing and coordinating subconsultant information
  • responsibility for ensuring design programme is maintained
  • self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to self-manage
  • ability to plan ahead and work to tight deadlines
  • good understanding of technical requirements of complex building techniques
