Design Abode is hiring an architect to join its team in London.
Our company is looking for an architect/manager to spearhead our operations. This is a massive opportunity for the right candidate. With continued success our growing firm is now set to dominate London, Surrey and Hertfordshire for 2022 maturing as a leading residential design, build and renovation company. At this moment in time, we are excited with our decisions of setting up an architectural arm to our firm and hence looking for a Part 3 qualified architect.
The full-time role will be office based at our stunning premises in Stockley Park, West London. We are not just looking for an experienced qualified architectural mind but also one that possess managerial acumen. The remit from inception is to setup our architectural offering but then over the coming year increase the size of the team tenfold. For the right determined individual this is a huge opportunity.
The candidate will have no two days the same as not only will they need to enrol processes in line with our architectural offering but also manage a team who collectively will sell our full scope of services. We are already an established Build and Renovation company. Of course, it will be necessary to carry out on site client engagement hence a UK driving license & access to a car is essential. The permanent role would be suitable for anyone who has a desire to succeed but one that would also align well with our company’s vision to dominate our sector.
Subject to the candidate meeting KPI’s we are looking to reward with strong annual salary increases per annum and essentially want someone with the vision to potentially go all the way to director level.
The role provides a competitive basic salary and an uncapped commission structure is up for discussion allowing successful candidates to achieve a high earning potential very early on in the role.
A strong sales background with construction or interior design related knowledge would be welcome but with architectural qualified acumen one should be well versed with the residential building world. Currently most of our sales team past and present have come from a strong sales background so whilst experience is desirable a strong work ethic and a can – do attitude is imperative. Our company secures client projects all the way from design, planning permissions, build stages ultimately completing with interiors. We have a firm handle on interior offerings from manufacturing our own kitchens to many other luxury brand components. Quality of our offerings along with strong responsive communication is paramount throughout the process so that our stellar reputation can be maintained.
From our stunning location, you’ll be part of a highly motivated team dealing with a range of project schemes, products as well as residential clients alongside trade professionals, this opportunity presents itself with many rewards. All architectural/sales project leads will be provided by our company daily, allowing one to qualify, arrange site or office appointments to quoting for projects as per client requirements. The process will formulate from initial contact, design, meeting, quoting, selling all the way to trade personnel boots on ground to project completion.

The role:
- driving sales through company internal leads
- progressing projects from planning permission through technical design
- progressing building regulations compliance to completion
- we are open to utilising different architectural software, use of Mac computers preferred
- tendering for residential projects as per client scope of works
- project managing from start to completion maintaining strong levels of communication
- offering customer satisfaction of the highest level
- working from our state-of-the-art offices, liaising with clients, colleagues and contractors
- travelling to customer sites, undertaking measurements, noting scope of works
- meeting monthly KPI’s
