Andrew Kirby Architects is seeking a Part 3 architect or Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in Devon, UK.
Andrew Kirby Architects has an opportunity for a developing architect/assistant with a passion for Passivhaus design and general low energy and environmental design principles.
We specialise in community ownership schemes working directly for community interest companies (CIC), local authorities, delivering on masterplans for housing and mixed use schemes ranging from small clusters of rural housing projects (10 to 50 units), through to large scale masterplanning of 5HA sites.
We also deliver high quality residential homes for private clients for one off passivhaus projects.
Conservation also forms part of our work, where heritage assets often form part of a wider community masterplan scheme.
The right candidate will need to be an all rounder and be able to deliver on the following skills in the office:
- masterplanning
- concept design and visualisation
- competent in ArchiCAD and Twin motion software
- Passivhaus design
- PHPP would be an advantage
- technical design
- tender procedures
- job running
- participation in office running and procedures
We are a small but growing practice in south Devon, with offices right on the river Dart. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to engage and develop in all aspects of the design and construction of important buildings looking to deliver on the needs of social and environmental value in the built environment.
