Studio manager

Holte is hiring a studio manager to join its team in London.
Holte is a fast-growing kitchen design studio and system furniture producer based off Broadway Market in Hackney, East London. Our design studio is founded on the principles of democratic and sustainable design – we believe good design and high quality materials should be available to everyone and should have as low an impact as possible on our environment. 2022 is going to be an exciting year for Holte; we’re launching new products, expanding the team and developing a new modular system kitchen.
We are looking for a friendly and organised Studio Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team. We are a small, growing company which means there can be a large diversity in tasks; the successful candidate must be flexible and prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.
Are you:
- highly organised, effective and adaptable?

Do you have:
- minimum five years’ professional experience in a studio, office or retail environment?
- team management experience?
- project management or production experience?
- sales experience or do you just enjoy talking to new people?
- experience with Mac, Adobe InDesign and Xero?
- excellent English language skills? (The role involves a large amount of communication with clients by phone, email and face-to-face so this is vital but language training can be provided where required)
The role will be diverse and will evolve with the business but here are some of the areas and responsibilities it covers
Studio management:
- manage appointment calendar
- process and send out sample orders
- respond to phone and email enquiries
- maintain office and studio supplies
- coordinate cleaning and other studio maintenance works
- improve studio organisation and make sure it is kept neat and tidy
- plan and manage studio events and team parties
Workflow and customer relationship management:
- coordinate design team including assigning projects, issuing reminders
- manage project tracker and ensure a high level of service is being provided across all projects
- oversee resourcing to ensure designers are not overstretched
- monitor bank account and check payments
- liaise with factory to request weekly progress updates, ETAs etc.
Marketing and PR:
- liaise with PR and coordinate with directors to assist with product launch and marketing events
- liaise with photographers and clients to arrange project photoshoots and attend where necessary
- upload new projects to the website and write summaries and specs
- perform general basic website updates using CMS and liaise with developer regarding scheduled monthly maintenance
HR:
- manage HR software to keep track of holiday, sick leave and expenses
- oversee recruitment process including coordinating with directors to write job descriptions, post job adverts and managing interviews
