Neil Davies Architects are a busy, innovative, design-led practice with an exciting and growing workload of modular and residential projects. We are known for delivering excellently crafted and detailed buildings, from inception to completion.
We are looking for a recently qualified Part-III architect to join us, who is self-motivated, well organised and capable of running projects up to £5M with good technical knowledge in the residential sector.
Roles and responsibilities:
- lead projects with minimal supervision
- manage workload across several projects
- ability to work to tight deadlines
- will converse directly with client, consultants, contractor and specialists
- administer contracts, attending site to monitor site progress
- monitor and maintain output of team to align with project programme
- provide guidance to less experienced staff in team
- have an input into the running of the office
- manage the production of NBS specifications
Candidates must also have:
- JCT contract experience
- proven design and detailing skills
- excellent written & spoken English
- fluency in Vectorworks 2016, both 2D and BIM
- thorough understanding of building regulations, London Plan and all current guidance
- knowledge of CDM regulations and responsibilities
- good problem solving skills on site
- knowledge of modular framed construction
- good communication and excellent presentation skills
- demonstrable UK experience
- a thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
