Gillespies is hiring a production team lead to join its London or Oxford team on a month fixed term contract.

Gillespies have an exciting opportunity opening for a production team lead to join our London studio on a 6-12 month fixed term contract, specific to the delivery of one of the world’s most significant central park projects located in the Middle East.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in designing and delivering the technical stages of design documentation and must demonstrate strong skills in cross-disciplinary coordination, team leadership and a good understanding of Revit. Knowledge of working within a BIM environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

All candidates must be available to start in February t0 March 2022. The project will be run from our UK offices, so we are flexible on the locations; either London or Oxford.

Essential requirements:

  • a minimum of eight years’ experience in landscape design documentation (RIBA stages 3 and 4) of technical packages
  • a strong portfolio showing a wide selection of work, with a proven track record of delivering technical packages (RIBA Stage 3 onwards)
  • strong leadership and management skills with proven experience in leading a small team of landscape architects and technicians
  • experience managing teams of landscape architects or technicians under them in the past
  • a strong understanding of the sequencing and packaging of technical packages
  • a strong background in detailed design
  • a solid foundation in cross-disciplinary coordination
  • strong QA/QC qualities
  • proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, a working knowledge of 3D software such as Rhino or Revit is beneficial but not a pre-requisite
  • proficiency in the Adobe Suite
  • ability to lead complex packages
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • exceptional communication skills, excellent spoken and written English
  • Middle East experience is preferred, although not essential
