There is an opportunity for a Part 3 architect at dMFK in London, UK.

dMFK are seeking a Part 3 level Architect ideally with one to two years’ post-qualification to join our friendly, collaborative and creative studio based in a converted library in North West London.

About dMFK

dMFK were established in 2000 by Julian de Metz, Paul Forbes and Ben Knight. We are a friendly, close-knit and hard-working team working with high profile clients on a range of interesting projects. We are specialists in high quality contemporary workplaces, homes and community buildings, pushing the boundaries of design in all these areas. We aim to make approachable, warm and familiar architecture that puts the comfort and wellbeing of the user at the centre of our designs.

Our team currently comprises 34 talented, diverse architects, assistants, designers and support staff. We champion diversity, offer opportunities for professional growth and development, and promote a healthy work/life balance.

About you

You should have:

  • excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
  • job running experience, and ability to run project teams
  • experience of putting together Stage 3 and 4 level packs, including planning applications
  • a passion and experience of designing contemporary architecture and interiors
  • excellent attention to detail
  • experience within the commercial and/or residential sectors
  • a working understanding of UK planning policies and building regulations
  • a creative, proactive and self motivated approach
  • a preference to work in our studio where possible
  • be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Suite
  • be keen and ambitious to develop and strengthen their Architectural career
  • experience in all RIBA Stages from concept to delivery
  • excellent people management skills and ability to mentor junior staff
