Mackenzie Wheeler is looking for an architectural assistant to join its team in London.
The practice specialises in architecture and interior design in the hospitality and leisure sector as well as notable work in the education and private residential sector. Our projects also often encompass refurbishment work and work on listed buildings.
The successful applicant should:
- have RIBA part 2 or be recently qualified as a chartered architect.
- be fluent in spoken and written English
- possess excellent design and drawing skills
- possess excellent sketching, visualisation and presentation skills
- have a genuine enthusiasm and ambition for architecture and design
- be fluent in AutoCAD and SketchUp
- have good knowledge of the UK building regulations
- be able to work independently and as part of a team
- have an interest and experience of working in the hospitality sector
- have experience with planning application processes and procedures
- have experience of working with listed buildings
- have experience of working on new build projects
- have an interest in interior design
- be willing to undertake duties to support project architects
- live within a reasonable commuting distance of Shoreditch
Other info
Mackenzie Wheeler operates standard office hours at 37.5 hours per week. We would consider a part-time position. Salary band: £30k-£35k/annum, subject to qualification, skills and experience.
Holiday entitlement is 23 days (with three days to be taken between Christmas and new year) with bank holidays and Christmas on top plus additional days for length of service.
