Maddux Creative is hiring a junior designer to join its team in London.

Responsibilities:

• full-time role working with senior team members to assist in projects from concept to completion
• project managing small residential projects with guidance from senior team members from start to finish
• ability to work accurately to a written or verbal brief. Report and communicate regularly to senior team members about deliverable
• produce sketch plan layouts and elevations
• assist in the preparation of technical drawings and information for tenders and construction
• working with senior team members to create material boards for client presentation at key design stages
• liaising with suppliers and clients to develop specifications and finishes
• select and source FF&E – producing sketches and mood boards
• procuring FF&E and using Est iMac to create budgets
• liaising with project contractors and managing on site snagging

Skills:

• self-motivated but also a good team member who can work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner.
• ability to create and develop conceptual designs including the ability to use colour and texture
• strong technical ability of AutoCAD, Indesign, SketchUp,Photoshop and the ability to sketch
• understanding of FF&E selection (materials, finishes, detailing and scheduling)
• self-confident and receptive to constructive feedback and criticism of your work
• the skill to visualise concepts and explain them to others
• excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual
• exceptional attention to detail

The ideal candidate will have two years’ experience in a similar role.
