Mark Berryman Design is hiring a senior yacht designer to join its team in Lymington, UK.
Mark Berryman Design is seeking an exceptional individual for the role of senior interior yacht designer.
Mark Berryman Design is a growing, award-winning yacht design studio based in Lymington, Hampshire. We require an experienced person to start immediately in the role of a senior interior yacht designer. You will work as part of a small energetic team, including 3D visualisers, designers and the FF&E team. The role is office based, with the chance of flexibility for the right person.
The role will involve:
- excellent presentation and communication skills
- being committed, self-motivated, focused, able to manage priorities, reliable, with a good team spirit
- hands-on experience with the various phases of a high-end project
- advanced skills in AutoCAD required.
- Photoshop an advantage, but not essential
- fluent in English, written and verbal
- liaising with all key contacts in connection with the project, suppliers, project managers, other consultants
- understanding and analysing the needs for the project feasibility
- strong creative thinking skills are a must to communicate your ideas
- have a proven track record of three years’ minimum in a marine design studio environment
- experience of yacht interiors essential
- agood knowledge base of furniture detailing, and construction methods required
- ability to work under pressure
- you must be highly creative and passionate; dedicated to delivering an excellent service
- able to travel abroad regularly when required
- confident in presenting work to clients, shipyards, contractors, and owners’ representatives
- the ability to manage a contract through the various phases at the shipyard with contractors.
