Part 1 architectural assistant

DJD Architects is hiring Part 1 architectural assistants to join its team in Worcester, UK.
We are a friendly, design conscious practice with varied projects and clients with a focus on public and private housing.
We are looking for people who want to participate fully as part of our team, contributing in our regular design reviews and our training research and development programme.
We require people with:
- a Part 1 or equivalent qualification
- strong design and drawing skills
- a flair for drawings and presentation
- demonstrable ability to consider the client and users in developing designs
- good teamwork skills
- a proactive and enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness to contribute to wider practice activities
- excellent communication skills, including written communication for dealing with clients, planners, contractors and other consultants
- excellent time management
- an understanding of construction principles and building safety requirements
- an interest in construction drawing and detailing
- the ability to demonstrate good IT and BIM skills, ArchiCAD an advantage but not required
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to learn whilst demonstrating high-level diligence and organisational skills.

Salary: c£21,500 dependent on experience.
