Part 2/3 architect and retail specialist
at CAPS
CAPS Architects is hiring a Part 2/3 architect and retail specialist to join its team in London.
We are a long-established architecture and interior design practice with international clients and a focus on high-end commercial and residential projects. We are based in London and looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or Part 3 architect to join our studio in Notting Hill Gate.
The ideal candidate will have a real passion for interior design and store planning development, alongside good technical detail design knowledge and problem-solving skills.
We are seeking someone to join the team as soon as possible and the role will be full-time.
You will:
- be an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or Part 3 architect
- have solid, practical hands-on experience in retail design (luxury retail design advantageous) as well as on site construction experience
- be comfortable with fast-paced store design development and roll outs – following brand design guidelines – and working on several projects at the same time
- have a dedicated, proactive approach with a mindset to prioritising tasks and adapting to change
- be confident and able to work autonomously on designing, implementing and coordinating design packages at both presentation, preliminary and detailed stages, including bespoke millwork and furniture design
- have an eye for detail and design consistency
- be experienced in shop drawings review to ensure design intent is retained into production
- be experienced in researching and selecting materials
- be familiar with and confident using AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
- have an understanding that, whilst assisting on projects at the start, the role is ideally set to grow into a job running/ project management position
- be legally entitled to work in the UK
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
23 days plus bank holidays annual leave allowance, opportunities for flexible working can be discussed.
