Minesh Patel Architects is looking for a West Midlands-based Part 2 architectural assistant to join its studio in Birmingham, UK.
Minesh Patel Architects is looking for an experienced West Midlands-based Part 2 architectural assistant with a minimum of two years’ of professional experience to join its studio in Birmingham.
About the practice
We are a young, ambitious practice interested in making thoughtful, innovative and engaging architecture. Sustainability, social value and engaging with communities is also important to us.
We aim to be a supportive, collaborative, inclusive and rewarding place to work with staff development and wellbeing a priority.
You will be working on a range of projects, including the Smithfield Birmingham Markets development where we are part of a fantastic team of leading UK practices.
You will be the first hire, so this is an opportunity to help grow and shape the direction of the practice and be involved in the wider running of the practice.
Requirements:
- strong design skills
- Revit experience on live projects
- multi-unit residential experience
- technical detailing and construction experience
- a good eye for creating high quality graphics
- experienced in Photoshop and InDesign
- experience working in a design-led practice
- fluent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to lead on projects with support and supervision
- proactive, motivated, ambitious and organised
- keen interest in contemporary (UK) architecture
- right to work in the UK
Particulars:
- start date – flexible (ideally early June 2022)
- working arrangement – full-time. We are open to flexible working and WFH. Initially you will be working remotely; we are looking to move into an office soon
Salary
Birmingham competitive and negotiable.
