Stockwool is hiring an associate director to join its team in London.
Stockwool is an award-winning architecture and urbanism practice.
We are looking for an ambitious, technically skilled associate director to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will lead a team in the delivery of a range of residential and mixed-use projects from high-density inner-city sites to suburban brown and greenfield schemes.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to run multiple large residential projects with the responsibility for the delivery of project work across the wider project team, as well as an ambition to gain further experience and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- managing and overseeing delivery projects within the studio
- preparing technical design and specification information for construction
- contributing to design and technical workshops for all projects
- participation in maintaining and enhancing design and technical standards across the studios
- managing and fostering strong, productive relationships with clients, consultants and contractor teams
- integrating sustainable design into all projects
- looking for opportunities to increase efficiencies and improve processes across the business
The successful candidate will:
- have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- be an excellent collaborator
- be self-motivated and self-directed
- be a strong people manager and role model
- have good direct working knowledge of all RIBA work stages
- have a keen interest in high levels of design and detail
- be proficient in three dimensional CAD software, ideally ArchiCAD, along with MS Office, InDesign and Photoshop
