Gort Scott is seeking a Part 2 architect assistant to join its team in London.

Gort Scott is looking for a strong Revit Part 2 architectural assistant to join our expanding team. Ideally you would be able to start immediately. Housing experience an advantage, although not essential.

Gort Scott is an architecture and urban design practice with a focus on how buildings and places create the setting for connections between people. We are attuned to working and thinking at different scales, from one-off houses to planning pieces of city and in both the public and private sectors. We are inspired by the contexts in which we work and develop propositions that resonate with them.

The studio has won a number of awards including Wallpaper Best Private House, an AJ Retrofit Award, NLA Mayor’s Prize, a Civic Trust Award, RIBA National Award and shortlisted for the Architect of The Year Award.

Key duties:

  • generate drawings, 3D models, diagrams, visualisations and reports
  • produce technical drawings and tender packages
  • contribute to the feasibility and conceptual design of architectural projects
  • coordinate with consultants and suppliers and other members of the team within the practice
  • assist with site analysis and project research
  • support project team day-to-day, including BIM coordination and BIM administrative requirements if required

Skills and experience:

  • a recognised Part 2 or equivalent degree
  • high level of proficiency in Revit and experience working in a BIM environment, ideally knowledge of BIM Level 2
  • use and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • familiarity with VectorWorks ideal but not essential
  • excellent design and technical skills and attention to detail
  • proactive approach to working either as part of a team or on your own, capable to take the initiative
  • good communication skills, including good written skills for the purpose of reports and presentations
  • an interest and experience in housing projects an advantage, but not essential
  • fluency in speaking and writing English essential
