Who we are – the studio
We are a busy, friendly and fast-paced interior design studio with a small, core team of passionate designers encompassing a broad range of talents. Specialising in top-end residential and commercial projects, we have an extensive portfolio of work across London, UK and abroad which has earned us a long-standing position on the House & Garden Top 100 list.
Our newly refurbished studio is in the centre of Holland Park and is designed with high-end Scandinavian and contemporary design classics. The successful candidate will have instant access into a thriving design studio where they will be exposed to all aspects of interior design.
What you’ll be doing – the role
The successful candidate will work in tandem with our senior designers to oversee interior design project resources, budgets, procurement, and schedules for all stages from concept to completion. They will also support the senior designers, operations manager and studio manager in project administration and accounting.
The role requires meticulous attention to detail and an ability to stay calm under pressure amidst multiple complex projects. You will contribute to project analyses and generate both internal and external reports to monitor scope, budget, and timelines. Lead all elements of FF&E procurement to include quotes, sales orders, and invoices.
Practice confident communications and lead with a collaborative nature. This role requires being comfortable in both client-facing and back-end administrative roles.
Primary responsibilities:
- support project planning, including creation of timelines, schedules of works, and budgets
- monitor project schedules and contribute to status reports internally and externally
- liaise with clients and external teams to coordinate timelines, site visits, budgets, and installations
- manage budgets for FF&E alongside senior designer and operations manager, aiming to maximise margins, suggesting bespoke FF&E where appropriate
- advise on allocation of HF hours, ensuring targets are met and budgets are maximised
- lead FF&E procurement, generating quotes, sales orders, and invoices as needed to support senior interior designers
- inspect and sign off quotes and sales orders to ensure accuracy
- contribute data for project analyses in coordination with operations manager
- cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors and third parties
- delegate tasks and allocate resources to ensure schedules are met and workloads are evenly distributed
- identify tools and solutions to improve best practices
- troubleshoot internally and externally as necessary
- ad hoc duties to be developed
Your skills:
- eight years’ experience in architecture and construction
- experience in project management
- high level of proficiency in Microsoft applications: Vectorworks, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
- ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
- strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and filing skills
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- experience working on large-scale/complex projects
- finance administration and cost control experience
- experience managing project schedules and reporting on progress
- familiarity with FF&E procurement software (Studio Designer, EstiMac) preferred
- Mac proficient
- Italian speaker a bonus!
