Quinn Architects is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant/recent Part 3 to join its team in London.

Full-time permanent post starting as soon as possible. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Quinn Architects is a close-knit and friendly team based in Shoreditch practicing bespoke architecture, interior design and furniture through design and analysis. The studio has developed a reputation for working internationally on cultural, commercial, heritage and residential projects. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and talented Part 2 architectural assistant or recent Part 3 to join our young and vibrant studio immediately. This is an exciting opportunity for personal development and career progression.

Our ideal candidate will have a compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates great potential, excellent design skills and a flair for image and model making. Working closely with the director, success in the role will depend on the candidate’s ability to communicate design ideas, and understand the nature and value of strong visuals. There will be opportunities to play a proactive role across our current and upcoming projects, as well as contributing to the practice’s culture.

Essential candidate requirements

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in an architectural practice within the last two years, to include significant experience as described below:

  • fluency in Vectorworks 2D, Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite on the Mac platform
  • good three dimensional presentation skills, including computer renders, hand drawings and model making
  • a strong design eye with good technical and detailing experience
  • excellent skills in verbal and written communication in English
  • an ability to take responsibility when required and to meet project deadlines
  • proven ability to work flexibly within a small team

Desirable candidate requirements:

  • experience of competition and award entries
  • experience in mixed-use and high quality residential projects
