Architectural assistant

Architecture Vaidas Vileikis is looking for an assistant to join its East London office.
We are a young residential practice who are growing our team and are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join us. As a small but expanding company, we offer an opportunity for a hands-on role on multiple projects and a flexible working arrangement. We are always looking for ways to work smarter and rethink traditional methods and processes for which we welcome feedback and suggestions from our team. A successful candidate will be expected to have the ability to work independently as well as as part of the team, communicate well, be able to work to deadlines and manage their own time. The role will require working in the office as well as visiting projects and other consultants or suppliers. The work is primarily in the private residential sector and as such, comparable and relevant work experience will be prioritised.
Software skills:
- Vectorworks
- Mac OS
- MS Office
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
- SketchUp
- Visualising platform – ideally V-Ray
- Knowledge of Revit or ArchiCAD is an advantage
Other skills and attributes:
- minimum one year of UK based work experience (emphasis on the private residential sector)
- familiarity with RIBA work stages
- knowledge of UK building regulations
- excellent written and spoken English skills
- ability to communicate ideas effectively verbally and visually
- eye for detail, visual quality and aesthetics
- motivated, proactive and collaborative
- professionalism and time management
- eligible to work in the UK
