Kitchen design and project coordinator

Poliform UK is hiring a kitchen design and project coordinator to join its team in London.

Skills and experience:
- experience on kitchens, wardrobes and joinery/fit-out items
- project management – proven track records in managing kitchen projects from design to completion
- estimating, collating information from different sources/suppliers to prepare costings
- proficient in AutoCAD, Vectorworks and/or relevant drawing packages
- renderings for presentations
- PC literate – Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- excellent communication skills and analytical thinking
- good command of the English language and familiar with Site terminology
- confident with construction drawings
- good presentation skills: ability to understand a brief and to explain and present ideas
- accuracy and attention to detail when finalising prints and designs
Job purpose:
- to maximise sales of the company by assisting the contract and bespoke teams with all aspects of the process with special attention to the technical drawings and details required
- to prepare multiple drawings based on documents received from client with the use of CAD/Vectorworks and internal graphic software. This is for, but not limited to, plans, elevations, sections and renders related to our kitchen, wardrobe and other joinery items
- to produce design proposals in line with budget and client expectations
- to prepare presentations and sets of drawings specific for different purpose (IE installation, clients, contractor)
- to prepare quotations and tender returns using excel or to assist the team in preparing tender returns and costings
- to coordinate and manage projects according to workload and subject to programme
- to review design packages and organise the information flow to obtain costings from suppliers
- to check technical details and feasibility with production
- to upload data and managing project on client online databases
- to attend design meetings and site visits where required
- to place orders with the factory and checking order confirmations
- to insert and keep information updated in Project Trackers during live projects
- to manage incoming work in orderly fashion and prioritising work according to the needs of the department
- to meet deadlines for submission dates provided by clients for drawings and quotations
- to manage client interfacing, following project from tender stage through to practical completion
- to assist in all tasks to support the Contract and Bespoke Department
- to work extra time as and when required
