OLJ Designs is seeking an architectural and interiors assistant to join its team in London.
OLJ Designs is looking for an experienced Part 1 or 2 architectural or interiors assistant looking to help a developing busy but small practice with a wide variety of work both on site and in design stages. A large proportion of the work is interior architecture along with extensions and new builds, and growing into commercial developments, interiors and offices. In this role, you will get a lot of experience on site, drawing, developing projects and facing clients, working directly with the director. You will work on all RIBA stages assisting in the provision of quotations, feasibility, outline design, planning, tender, contract administration and completion under the supervision of the director. OLJ Designs is looking for someone who is ready for a challenge, ambitious, independent and creative but also able and willing to work under instruction.
OLJ Designs also has an academic interest, so are looking for candidates with academic, research and teaching interests who will be pushed to explore these.
Fluency or comprehension in French would be highly regarded.
Software requirements (these are fundamental): Vectorworks 2D, Rhino 3D, Adobe Suite
OLJ Designs will be running interviews from our office in Farringdon and it is expected that the position will be office based so an easy commute is advisable. Pay will depend on the applicant and level of experience.
