Ablett Architects is seeking an architectural assistant Part 2 or recently qualified architect to join its team in London.
Ablett Architects are looking for an enthusiastic Part 2 or recently qualified architect to join us to work on a number of projects at different work stages. All projects relate to existing buildings and many involve historic buildings which are listed grade 1 and 2*, dating from the twelfth to the twentieth century.
We undertake repairs and alterations to churches as well as high quality residential refurbishments and extensions.
We are based in Bromley, a short train ride from central London.
We seek a candidate who has:
- an enthusiasm for adapting and repairing existing buildings and with some experience of detailing traditional repair work
- an ability to produce documents at all work stages including statutory consent applications as well as detailing for tender and for construction
- an ability to work to tight deadlines and to switch between projects
- a full knowledge of the UK building regulations
- proficiency in AutoCAD LT and experience of SketchUp
- fluent in written and spoken English
- eligibility to work in the UK
