Reigate Architects is looking for a senior architectural technician/technologist to join our friendly team in Surrey, UK.

The role

You will be familiar with the requirements of current UK planning and building control regulations and be able to work quickly and accurately – both independently and with other team members and external consultants. Successful applicants can expect to work on a variety of new-build developments and extensions and on interior design and the remodelling of residential and commercial properties in the south-east and throughout the UK.

Required skills and experience:

• relevant industry qualification, ideally CIAT membership or working towards MCIAT
• a minimum of five years’ UK experience preferably within the housing sector
• a friendly demeanour with good written and verbal communication
• excellent understanding of AutoCAD and SketchUp
• the ability to produce dimensional surveys of domestic buildings
• the ability to produce good quality drawings from sketch designs for planning applications
• the ability to produce good quality specifications and technical drawings for building regulation applications and for construction
• the ability to be able to work efficiently on a number of projects concurrently

Additional information

• if you are not a British National, you must be fully eligible to work in the UK and already hold a valid work permit and visa
• a valid UK driving licence would be advantageous but not essential
• local connections with Reigate and Surrey would be advantageous but not essential
• salary dependent upon experience and qualifications.
