Position responsibilities:

  • create marketing proposals, either independently or under the direction of others (depending on the complexity of the proposal)
  • create marketing collateral for interviews and other presentations and manages the interview process
  • create and update marketing collateral including resumes, project pages, brochures and other textual and visual materials
  • conduct research on potential clients, leads and projects
  • assist with the development and implementation of pursuit strategies, under the direction of others
  • engage in business plan development and supporting marketing collateral
  • use Salesforce as a reference for SOM project facts and contribute to data maintenance
  • develop a working knowledge of A/E/I services offered by SOM, with knowledge of regional portfolio
  • contributes to the training of marketing coordinators at an introductory level
  • be involved in professional associations and/or industry associations as needed
  • assist with other duties and tasks as may be required

Minimum qualifications:

  • completion of a four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities
  • two to four years experience in marketing within the architectural/engineering/construction industry
  • strong writing and graphic design skills
  • strong organisational skills
  • strong project management skills
  • ability to work with senior leaders across a firm
  • advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • keen interest in marketing and the architectural and engineering industry
  • experience with Salesforce CRM and OpenAsset is a plus
  • ability to work and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
