Project administrator
at Studio PDP

PDP London is currently looking for a project administrator to join its growing London team.

We are a friendly award winning architectural practice, looking for an energetic and organised project administrator.  This is a role to support one of our busy architectural studios, paying particular attention to efficiently managing control of documentation.

The role:

  • working on one of the most prestigious building projects in London
  • responsibility for the studio information management and document control systems, including managing quantities of incoming and outgoing information, and ensuring efficient recording of information
  • issuing drawings in electronic form, including the preparation of issue sheets
  • point of contact between studio and site management team
  • liaising with client and contractors over document deadlines
  • quality control of all written communications/ information for the project team (letters, minutes, emails etc.)
  • taking messages, arranging meetings, diary management and all issues relevant to the smooth running of the studio and projects based within the studio
  • keeping regular team calendars up to date
  • general administrative duties including photocopying, scanning, filing, archiving, binding and outgoing post

The right person for the job will have:

  • proven experience in a similar role, coordinating a busy work schedule
  • good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook; Adobe InDesign essential
  • working knowledge of document control systems desirable
  • Experience in a Construction, Architecture or design based Studio is desirable.

The right person will also be:

  • cheerful, positive and helpful with a good work ethic
  • a good administrator with a natural attention to detail and ability to check and correct your own and others work accurately
  • methodical
  • good at following things through to completion, with consistency, even for mundane tasks, taking pride in getting things right
  • able to work effectively with others
  • able to multi-task and remain calm and well organised even when under pressure
  • a good team worker
