HUX is hiring an interior designer to join its team in Berkshire, UK.
HUX is currently recruiting for an inspirational interior designer with a strong track record of bespoke joinery design to join our award-winning and vibrant team.
At the cutting-edge of modern British design, HUX has a very strong brand and excellent image, reputation and online profile, and we are primarily focused at supplying interior designers, developers, contractors, architects and discerning individual clients with bespoke kitchens and cabinetry.
Our design team are based in our 15,000 sq ft state of the art workshop in Colnbrook – close to Heathrow near the junction between the M4 and M25. The close relationship between design and production is one of our USPs. We also operate out of a show home in Chiswick, W4.
About the role
The successful candidate will have an excellent eye for inspirational design and proven sales and client-handling skills.
They will have strong experience in designing inspirational joinery and intricate bespoke kitchens. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years’ direct experience with a high-end bespoke kitchen company, though designers who have developed joinery and kitchen packages from the interior design side will also be considered.
We predominantly use SketchUp for design development and client sign-off drawings, so SketchUp experience is desirable.
Our designers also act as project managers throughout the design process, arranging samples and taking responsibility for all client comms until the drawings are passed into production, when the project is handed onto the installations team. One of the main aspects of the role therefore is client liaison, so the successful candidate will be extremely presentable, highly organised, a clear communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Full training will be provided and there is huge scope for career progression for the right candidate.
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
