We are currently looking for a full-time HR administrator to support our HR manager in the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of HR administrator/coordinator duties around the full employee lifecycle and HR projects.
The role
Location: Clerkenwell, London, UK
Contract: permanent, full-time position
Reports to: human resources manager
Purpose of the role
To undertake a variety of HR administrator duties. To support the HR Manager in the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations.
Main responsibilities:
- forming and maintaining employee records
- updating databases internally, such as sick/maternity leave
- processing all new starter documentation, updating the HR system with employee information; ensuring all relevant visa/immigration documentation is filed, collating all information on staff qualifications, professional memberships, etc.
- being a point of contact for employees on any HR-related queries
- coordinating on-boarding, including induction programmes for new starters, buddy allocation, etc.
- checking overtime hours for staff, recording time in lieu
- providing staff references/verification of employment and admin of all other staff correspondence
- coordinating the performance management process and monthly catch-ups for new starters
- coordinating off-boarding (scheduling exit interviews, leaver letters, etc.)
- ensuring all information on staff benefits is up to date
- provide ad hoc admin support on HR projects

Knowledge/qualifications:
- good working knowledge of MS Office Package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- good understanding of human resources functions, processes, and best practices
- understanding the implications of working in an HR function
Essential skills and experience:
- this role would suit a fresh graduate looking to work in human resources
- previous experience in an HR or administration role would be beneficial
- ability to present information in a clear and concise manner, with excellent attention to detail and strong written and spoken English skills
- ability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements, and adapt to changing situations
- excellent planning and organisation skills
- ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- ability to make sound decisions and escalate any issues to the HR manager if needed
- effective time management skills
- ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
