J. Adams & Co is hiring a UK sales manager to join its team in London.
J Adams & Co. is a luxury British lighting brand, showcasing craftsmanship, innovative engineering and authentic design made in Britain. Materiality and manufacturing expertise are at the heart of the brand, with each product in our rapidly expanding collection made by hand at our UK Birmingham factory using only the highest quality materials.
We are looking for a sales manager to become an integral part of our small but fast-growing team based at our Farringdon office and showroom.
The role
The sales manager at J. Adams is the face of the brand and will be a pro-active, self-motivated person, digitally knowledgeable, with excellent communication skills and intrinsic understanding of good customer service.
The mission of the role is to grow and build strong customer relationships in the UK across multiple sales channels.
The ideal candidate will have previous sales and business development experience within the lighting/furniture or luxury goods market, ideally with experience working with UK B2B clients.
Key responsibilities:
- actively driving business development through constant client interaction, relationship building and passionate brand representation
- consistently providing exemplary service levels to new and existing customers, going above and beyond wherever possible
- always looking for opportunities to host client meetings, training sessions and brand events at our showroom and off-site
- building and maintaining key client relationships, travelling where required for meetings, presentations, and training sessions
- representing the brand at annual domestic and global trade shows, ensuring all key clients are in attendance
- working with our directors to plan creative ways to hit monthly sales goals
- creating and distributing accurate sales quotes and invoices
- liaising with our UK factory, to proactively provide customers with order updates
- working with our sales assistant to ensure finish samples and brochures are sent to clients when required
- providing workload support to other team members and cover wider responsibilities during holidays, sick leave, training, or other absences as required
- collaborating on marketing strategy and implementation – Marketing experience a plus
- reporting into the head of sales, the role requires integrity, confidence, and passion
