Parkside Architectural Tiles is hiring a showroom manager to join its team in Glasgow, Scotland.

Parkside is a B2B porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tile specification company with over 500 designs on offer, and many exclusives, from some of the world’s most dynamic manufacturers. Whether for commercial, hospitality or high-end residential projects, Parkside’s knowledgeable team of architectural consultants are able to help specify the right products to match any design brief. Offering the latest technological innovations and tile trends, Parkside provides an unrivalled bespoke service including waterjet cutting, porcelain worktop fabrication and digital printing on to tiles. With showrooms across the country and more to follow, the company has over 50 years’ combined experience in assisting the architecture and design community to create original and inventive interior projects.

We are currently looking for a showroom manager to join us at our newest location in Glasgow. Working from our showroom in Merchant City, your role will be to advise A&D clients and support the growth of our Scottish network.

Key accountabilities:

  • manage and deliver great studio service
  • support in building A+D and client direct business in Glasgow
  • build an audience of repeat clients through exceptional service
  • deliver the brand, and aid sales through professional creative advice
  • maintain high standards in the presentation in the studio
  • provide professional design advice to clients
  • present and lead showroom events
  • coordinate partner companies activities

Customer/strategy/plan:

  • build the client base for Parkside to support longer term profitable growth ambitions
  • work on driving sales within the profitable sectors of the commercial market to build returns
  • drive overall company performance through the various sales channels and collaborate with other sales teams

People/leadership:

  • work with Parkside, Stratis and The Group colleagues to support the growth ambitions and business plan
  • work with any third party organisations, to include colleagues as appropriate, to optimise profitable sales
  • always behave ethically and professionally

Financial/commercials:

  • produce monthly summary of reports
  • support transparency and clarity

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • engaging, professional approach
  • proven collaborative working skills, especially in sales delivery and design
  • competitive and a winner
  • excellent clear communicator
  • organised and planned
  • works at pace
  • self-starter

Whilst a knowledge of design or tiles is preferable, this isn’t essential! We can teach you all there is to know!
