Designer
at Little Halstock
Little Halstock is looking for a designer to join its expanding team in Dorset, UK.
Little Halstock are bespoke furniture and product makers, working across the most exclusive projects around the world.
We work across all materials to produce beautiful, heirloom pieces for residential, marine and aviation sectors.
Our projects are diverse, from contemporary pieces in local timbers, through to classic furniture incorporating leathers metals, and precious stones

You must be a highly motivated, detail driven individual with a desire to up-skill and contribute to a highly talented team.
Requirements:
- three plus years’ technical CAD design experience with 2D and 3D capabilities (Rhino/AutoCAD preferable)
- must be IT literate and be well versed in Microsoft Suite, with Adobe product experience an advantage
- experience in dealing with clients/designers/architects/project managers and taking key or leading roles in running live projects
- time and cost management skills are very important
- interpersonal skills are very important, working with colleagues, clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, logistics etc.
- technical and engineering understanding is critical with an acute eye for detail. We work across all materials
- ability to take instruction and learn as part of a team
- driving licence as we work nationally, and internationally to provide the best service to our clients possible
Additional requirements:
- bilingual or French speaking would be a great attribute due to overseas projects
- experience with Adobe suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- understanding of digital manufacturing including laser cutting and CNC machining
- a commercial understanding of business, and manufacturing in general
Job type: full-time
Salary: £26,000.00 to £40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate to Beaminster, DT8 3HG – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
