Adam Khan Architects is seeking an architect to join its team in London.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented architect, with detail design experience to join our growing team. The practice offers suitable candidates the opportunity to work on a range of innovative and exciting live projects as well as several significant new projects for leading clients and local authorities. Applicants are to have experience in producing detailed design information for tender and construction and are to have a keen interest in sustainability. Experience in housing or designing low energy housing design such as passivhaus is advantageous. As part of our growing team, successful candidates will be involved in all aspects of the practice from project delivery, internal design reviews and contributing to the design studio.
We are seeking applicants with the following skills and experience:
- professional experience working in detail design and construction stages of work (RIBA Stage 4 and 5 or equivalent)
- ability to integrate design, detail, sustainable performance and innovative construction and ability to review and coordinate drawing packages
- strong technical expertise and knowledge of current construction methods
- strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with consultants and contractors
- proficiency in ArchiCAD is advantageous
- experience in UK housing would be advantageous
- experience in Passivhaus or Low energy building design or Net Zero design would be advantageous
