Studio manager

Adam Khan Architects is seeking a studio manager to join its team in London.
We are looking for a bright, ambitious, communicative person with a positive attitude, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. The position encompasses a variety of responsibilities with the possibility to grow and develop.
We are an award-winning, vibrant, socially engaged, hands-on design practice engaged with significant urban renewal projects in London. The practice is medium-scale and works in a way that is flexible and creative, our approach is based on collaborative working as we value teamwork to create a friendly and supportive environment.
Working hours are flexible – part-time is possible.
Salary is competitive and depends on experience.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

This position involves:
Studio Administration:
- managing incoming calls and emails
- supporting the architects’ team with IT related needs
- providing PA support to senior associates and directors, including diary arrangements
- liaising with insurance broker
- liaising with studio finance administrator
Studio premises and health and safety:
- looking after the studio premises
- be a first aider and fire marshal
- office health and safety management and updating policies
HR:
- keeping record of holidays and being present for all employees’ queries
- liaising with payroll and pension providers
- working with team on strategy for CPD

Key attributes:
- a positive attitude and desire to make a beneficial contribution to the practice and the world we live in
- previous experience as studio manager in a similar field advisable
- a good team ethic, equally confident in working using own initiative
- natural communicator and strong interpersonal skills
- good IT skills – fluent in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Adobe Suite, InDesign, Acrobat is desirable
