Architectural designer
at Duck & Shed
Duck & Shed is seeking an architectural designer to join its team in London.
Duck & Shed needs you at our Notting Hill studio.
We are a boutique architecture and interior design studio looking for talented, experienced individuals to help deliver a series of ultrahigh-end, private residential projects in the most affluent parts of London.
Freelancers and full-timers will be considered.
What we need from you:
- an ability to design, think and work at all scales of construction
- AutoCAD, Sketchup, V-Ray, Adobe
- an eye and knowledge for contemporary design, detailing and market trends within residential interiors especially regarding high end projects
- an understanding and knowledge of high-end finishes, fittings and products
- the ability and confidence to speak to suppliers and the curiosity to seek out new materials and products when needed
- have very high standards for both your design work and the final product
- experience of all RIBA Stages, particularly 3 and 4
- at least three examples of relevant built projects
- technical and regulatory knowledge
- excellent written communication skills
- the ability to effectively work autonomously and self-check the work
- strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workflow and meet deadlines
- specification writing skills important
The studio is in Notting Hill and open for you to work here five days per week. Hybrid working is fine so long as the work gets done on time.
