O’Donnell + Tuomey is seeking an architectural technologist/technical architect to join its team in Dublin, Ireland.
O’Donnell + Tuomeyis seeking a talented, enthusiastic and experienced architectural technologist/technical architect to work on significant cultural and social projects at home and abroad.
The architectural technologist/technical architect will work as part of a collaborative architectural team in Dublin to design technical details, produce tender drawings and specifications, and to be involved in all phases of the planning and construction process. The candidate will develop bespoke detailing for one-off building types, ensuring compliance with building regulations and current technical guidance. They will coordinate with consultants on technical matters and work closely with the project architects to produce robust documentation for all stages of design.
Candidates should be highly motivated with excellent communication, numeration and organisational skills; good spoken and written English is essential. Candidates must have a minimum five years’ post-qualification experience, and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working on projects in the detail design development work stages, with particular emphasis on technical delivery of complex projects.
We are interested in meeting technologists / architects with the following attributes:
- a comprehensive understanding and experience of Irish building regulations and regulatory frameworks (further experience with UK regulations would be beneficial)
- experience in the production of tender and working drawings packages
- demonstrable and thorough knowledge of Revit
