PINCH is looking for a sales associate to join its team in London.
Pinch is a British furniture design brand, created by Russell Pinch and Oona Bannon. For 14 years we have been designing award winning, genre defining, contemporary furniture and lighting, and are now looking to grow our team in one of the UK’s most prestigious, creative and successful furniture brands.
Having designed and sold directly from our studio in Clapham for a decade, we have also opened a shop off Pimlico Road; London’s premier destination for interior design, art and fine furniture. We are looking for an enthusiastic sales associate to join our team to ensure our remote and visiting clients are excellently serviced and inspired, with all sales and commissions being well managed, perfectly delivered, and accurately reported, through our established internal systems.
Our customer base spans public, interior design, and contract clients, as well as a select number of leading international design stores, who represent us globally. We sell from an extensive held stock collection, with a large proportion of made to order pieces, including many customised designs, passing though our studio. Everyone in our business is required to be a dynamic thinker, motivated by a desire to do things well, and a drive to work positively together whilst enjoying the process.
Our successful candidate will have a minimum of 18 months sales experience within furniture or an equivalent industry, with an understanding of the A&D and wholesale markets a benefit. They will be mathematically strong, comfortable using database driven sales software, have a strong commercial focus, good people skills, an interest or understanding of furniture production, lateral thinking skills, and a tangible passion for contemporary design, particularly at the luxury end.

Key areas of activity:
- representing our furniture and services to clients in and out of the shop
- working collaboratively with the sales team issuing quotes and invoices
- liaising with our makers on budgets, deliverables and leadtimes
- managing our select wholesale global partner accounts
- organising client shipping and deliveries
- representing Pinch at trade shows and events
- managing contacts database
- managing ongoing care and improvement to our sales database
- work collaboratively on client outreach via invitations to interior designers
- ensure the shop is well presented
- driving customer satisfaction
Key skills:
- detail orientated and highly motivated
- ability to manage a busy work load, working to tight deadlines
- numerically strong
- comfortable using inventory and retail management systems
- inderstand principles of profitability and discount structures
- exposure to furniture production/retail a strong benefit
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- socially warm and confident, with a desire to be helpful
- fluent in English, both spoken and written
- enthusiastic, bright and willing to get hands dirty
- Apple Mac and Microsoft office proficient
- clean UK Driver’s License (preferable)
This is a full-time position based in our Pimlico Road shop. Shorter Saturdays, with day in lieu are rotated amongst the team (approx. one in four)
