Junior in-house fashion designer
at Palm Heights
Palm Heights is hiring a junior in-house fashion designer to join its team in London.
Palm Heights are looking to hire an exciting fashion or arts graduate to join our in-house creative team. Working across projects under the Palm Heights umbrella such as, Palm Heights Athletics, our designer will assist with the design and development of unique branded merchandise.
Main responsibilities:
- assist with design process from concept to production
- undertake relevant, culturally informed research into design inspiration, fabrics, techniques, and trends
- build visual reference libraries
- present mood and colour boards to creative team
- work with creative team to select seasonal themes and products, making edits to current collection, and identifying potential space for new products
- assist with fabric, trim, and print selection
- create detailed CAD and tech packs with sizing, fabrics, graphics
- assist in liaison with manufacturers
Skills and experience:
- fashion or arts degree graduate
- previous industry experience
- experience with merchandise design preferred
- strong Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Excel skills
- confident working digitally and analogue
- excellent design and conceptual skills
- strong sense of style and colour
- strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- confident meeting strict deadlines
- based in London
- salary based on experience/competitive
