DEDRAFT is looking for an experienced Part 2/project architect to join its team in London.

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Part 2 project architect to join our small but ambitious Hackney-based team. The post is full-time and permanent and a great opportunity to gain well-rounded studio and site experience working on demanding residential projects.

A clear talent and passion for considered, thoughtful design that aligns with our aesthetic and ethos is key however we endeavour to encourage diverse wider thinking and welcome well-articulated and clear design that broadens our thinking. We are open to being challenged.

Candidates must be able to:

  • display strong creative skills as well as clear visual and verbal communication
  • display strong technical knowledge and the ability to convey this to the wider project team and on-site
  • utilise 2D/3D software as well as hand drawings to convey coherent ideas and detailing
  • both work independently, with confidence and as part of a team, often overseeing less experienced staff members
  • offer a minimum of two years post-Part 2 qualified with previous site experience a must
  • display experience in contractual administration and day-to-day project running
  • show a passion for the wider architectural/art discourse

The position would suit someone wishing to move from larger practice to gain invaluable experience in a job running on predominantly residential projects. The ability to attract work from other sectors and bring potential clients would be a major bonus but is not essential.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and able to commence work from mid-late November.
