Orangebox is seeking a showroom assistant to join its team in London.

We are currently looking for a showroom assistant to join our team at our fantastic Showroom in London.

The role will be to assist and maintain the smooth running of the London Showroom, creating an inspirational space to encourage greater traffic, welcoming all visitors and callers to the showroom and providing administrative support to the sales team, managers and sales directors.

We are seeking people who are committed to delivering an outstanding service to customers and have the ability to thrive in a busy front of house, customer orientated environment.

The role:

The main responsibilities of the role will include the following:

  • managing the reception space, ensuring it is always kept clean and tidy
  • providing a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors to the London Showroom
  • maintaining the showroom diary and ordering refreshments/catering where required
  • distributing incoming mail and organising outgoing mail, passing on all incoming sales leads to the relevant sales team member
  • assisting in taking incoming telephone calls and answering general enquiries, where possible
  • ensuring brochures/USBs/marketing collateral/ samples are updated and stocked in cupboards at all times
  • raising purchase requisitions to support all showroom/BDM purchases
  • liaising with third parties in absence of the showroom manager
  • assisting with lorry deliveries to the Showroom (receiving product and returning product)
  • assisting with showroom visits on occasion to maximise client experience
  • organising catering for visitors, as and when necessary and to maintain catering stocks within budget requirements
  • providing sales support to BDMs
  • assisting with showroom tours and product training
  • the supply of general product information, images and CAD blocks as required
  • to assist with printing documents and information packs for sales personnel
  • the preparation of binders with relevant literature in preparation of customer visits
  • to courier and package samples when needed to dealer clients
  • to liaise with fabric suppliers and ensure all fabric cards are stocked and labelled within the showroom

The person:

The successful candidate will bring the following experiences, skills and qualities to the role:

  • a good standard of education at GCSE level or equivalent – grade C or above
  • competency in using of MS Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • previous experience in B2B customer facing role (ideally showroom or corporate environment)
  • excellent telephone manner
  • experience in taking customer queries over the telephone
  • experience working in a busy environment with changing priorities
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • ability to work well under pressure and meet changing deadlines
  • excellent organisational skills
  • ability to work well in a close-knit team
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • confidence to work with senior management (internal and external) and to instruct third parties
  • ability to work hours outside of the standard pattern and stay late for events as and when the business requires on an ad hoc basis
