Junior architectural technician/interior designer
Shalini Misra is seeking a junior architectural technician/interior designer to join its growing London studio.

Founded in 1996, the company has gone from strength to strength building a unique and successful business specialising in collaborations with high profile furniture designers, developing and designing commercial and residential property all around the world.
Overview:
We are looking for a junior architectural technician/interior designer to join our team on a contract basis to work on a variety of different projects. The candidate must be a strong all-rounder in general interior design and able to work off detailed floor plans and elevations in CAD. Experience in high end interior design is highly desirable.
Essential skills/proficiencies:
- strong proficiency to produce detailed drawings in AutoCAD. This should include interior architectural elements and fitted joinery; incorporating the input of engineers, architects, designers and surveyors, together with the ability to specify dimensions, codes, materials and production methods
- SketchUp knowledge is a plus
- minimum two years of experience as junior technician/interior designer
- strong knowledge of high-end interior design
- excellent communication and organisational skills
- ability to multi-task across a variety of projects
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines
- a good attitude to learning and developing your skills is essential
- fluency in written and spoken English
In addition to the technical drawing, the role will include the following
Role/responsibilities:
- assist in producing specification documentation using Microsoft Excel and InDesign
- administration work relating to the procurement and delivery of FF&E
- assist with general interior design work as required by senior designers
