Deborah Berke Partners is hiring a Professional 1 designer to join its team in New York.
Deborah Berke Partners is an architecture and interior design practice that for over thirty years has made true-to-place projects around the country and the world. Over time, we have built a wide range of experience in projects for colleges and universities, cultural institutions, private residences, boutique hotels, office and multifamily developments and buildings for mission-driven clients. The firm provides a full range of services, from master planning to architecture and interior design.
Deborah Berke Partners is seeking a Professional 1 designer to assist on multiple architectural design projects in the firm.
Requirements:
- one to five years’ of design experience at an architecture or design firm
- professional degree in architecture; starting on path to licensure
- demonstrated proficiency in Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel); familiarity with Revit desired
- excellent graphic, communication and organizational skills
- good interpersonal skills, thrives in a collaborative environment and understands the importance of supporting design team members
- demonstrated proficiency with design, technical design, planning and presentation tasks
- pro-active, self-disciplined and confident in a fast-paced working environment
- detail-oriented, accurate and hands-on
- ability to work on and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- possess all legal permits and visas required to work in the U.S.
- fluency in written and spoken English
- multilingual would be preferred; please note language abilities
