The Wood Works is seeking a junior technical designer to join its team in Hertfordshire, UK.
The Wood Works are a family run business who have been producing kitchens for 32 years throughout Hertfordshire and London. Our experience and expertise allow us to create almost anything to cater to our client’s dreams and design ideas.
Due to rapid expansion, we are looking to grow the technical team and are recruiting for someone to help produce CAD layouts and mechanical and electrical (M&E) drawings. This person will be part of a small team working to take the designs from visual concepts through to manufacturable CNC files, detailed drawings and assembly paperwork.
The role will initially be focussed on producing the M&E drawings with the opportunity to progress quickly through the company across a range of disciplines. Whilst kitchens are at the heart of what we do, we are also developing a homewares range to sell through our social channels. We would encourage the new candidate to get involved with and give their ideas and opinions with projects such as this.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in technical design, be keen to work in a fast-moving environment and be adaptable to face the challenges of working to meet clients’ demands in a company producing one-off high-end bespoke kitchens.
The position will be based at our Letchworth factory site with the opportunity in the future to work remotely once trained. We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible.
