Neil Davies Architects have recently been shortlisted for the AJ Retrofit awards and The Sunday Times’ British Homes Awards and are looking for a project architect to assist us with an exciting and growing workload of modular and residential projects.

We are looking for candidate who is self-motivated, well organised and capable of running projects up to £5M with good technical knowledge in the residential sector.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • lead projects with minimal supervision
  • manage workload across several projects
  • ability to work to tight deadlines
  • converse directly with client, consultants, contractor and specialists
  • administer contracts, attending site to monitor site progress
  • monitor and maintain output of team to align with project programme
  • provide guidance and training to less experienced staff in office
  • provide input into the running of the office
  • manage the production of NBS specifications and scheduler

Candidates must also have: 

  • knowledge of modular and all types of traditional construction
  • proven experience of all stages of RIBA Plan of Work to client satisfaction
  • managed projects on site successfully to timescale and budget
  • comprehensive experience of contract documentation and administration
  • excellent design, presentation and technical ability
  • expert knowledge of construction costs
  • strong ability in the production of detailed drawing packages for both tender and construction
  • fluency in Vectorworks 2016, both 2D and BIM
  • thorough understanding of British Standards, UK Building Regulations and London Plan
  • knowledge of CDM regulations and responsibilities
  • proactive approach to problem solving
  • positive outgoing communication skills and able to multi-task when required
  • a thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • fluency in written and spoken English
