Lyall, Bills & Young Architects has an opportunity for a Part 2 architectural assistant or junior architect to join its team in London.
Lyall, Bills & Young Architects are looking for an architectural assistant/junior architect to join their office in London. We are a London-based office. Our current work includes schools, higher-education, mixed-use schemes and residential.
Employment type: full-time (flexible), potential for some home working.
Job summary:
- fully familiarise with relevant project briefs and scope
- produce competent drawings under the direction of the project architect
- be able to work as a team carrying out assigned tasks in a timely manner and as instructed
- proactive in developing meaningful solutions and develop designs
- interact with other consultants and client organisations in a professional manner and respond to queries and requests likewise
- carry-out relevant technical research independently and pro-actively for projects
Skills and requirements:
- ability to organise own work in detail in response to timescales and brief
- work independently on assigned tasks
- fluent in spoken and written English
- right to work in the UK
IT skills:
- ArchiCAD or other relevant CAD software
- InDesign
- Photoshop
- MS Word and Excel
Potential candidates may be required to take a short ArchiCAD test to demonstrate ability.
