CDC Studio is looking for a post-Part 3 architect to join its team in London or Cambridge, UK.
We are a collaborative and friendly architectural studio, with a deep love for great design and low energy architecture. We are searching for a design orientated, experienced architect who has post-Part 3 experience. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a team, with good job running, detailing and technical design skills, as well as an interest in and knowledge of sustainable design.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in some exciting educational and housing projects and will take responsibility for their delivery. We are looking for someone with drive and ambition to help expand the practice working toward an associate role.
Essential skills or experience:
- open, personable and self-reliant character
- excellent design and detailing skills
- UK Part 3 qualification with ideally at least three years’ experience running design orientated projects
- well practised in preparing construction and tender packages
- in-depth knowledge of building regulations
- contract administration experience
- proficiency in Archicad and or Revit,
- strong creative ability and presentation skills
- ability to multi-task under pressure, manage time and workload, and work both autonomously and with others
- good communication and literacy skills and the ability interact with a wide variety of private clients
- ability to coordinate other members of the design team (eg, QS, structural engineer)
- fluency in spoken and written English
- ability to work from home or the office
Desirable skills or experience:
- knowledge of Adobe creative suite
- driving license
- experience with green technologies, Passivhaus
- experience with listed buildings
- car owner
